An outpatient procedure is usually much more comfortable for patients than an inpatient stay in the clinic. Today, numerous ophthalmic operations can be carried out on an outpatient basis thanks to the latest surgical technology and gentle, safe anesthetic procedures, without the patient being exposed to a higher risk than in the case of an inpatient stay.

A high-performance surgical center is available for these outpatient interventions on the 1st floor of the eye clinic, in which preliminary examinations, planning and implementation of outpatient interventions take place.

Outpatient surgery

An outpatient procedure requires a completely completed pretreatment with preliminary examination, confirmation of the diagnosis, indication for surgical therapy, information, obtaining consent and the corresponding documentation.

The nursing staff will be happy to take care of it and will be at your side with all questions and problems.

Check-up after outpatient surgery

Every operation requires an ophthalmological check-up on the first postoperative day. In principle, the controls are carried out by the resident ophthalmologist. If this is not possible, e.g. B. on vacation or at the weekend, the controls are carried out at our AOZ.
