The association founded in 1990 for the promotion of ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic at the Saarland University Hospital UKS e. V. is based in Homburg / Saar.

The association pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes within the meaning of the section "tax-privileged purposes" of the tax code. He is selfless and not self-employed.

The purpose of the association is the promotion of public health, science and research and the procurement of related funds.

The statutes are implemented, in particular through the promotion of ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic at the Saarland University Hospital UKS Homburg / Saar, especially in the field of clinical and experimental ophthalmology. The aim of the association is to prevent blindness.

The organs of the association are the Management Board and the General Meeting. The board is elected by the general assembly.

Membership

Ordinary membership
Ordinary memberships are those that pay a minimum annual fee of € 30.00.

Membership as a sponsor
Sponsors are natural and legal persons with a minimum annual contribution of € 50.00.

Membership as founder
Founders are natural and legal persons who donate an amount of at least 500.00 € when they join the association and who commit to an annual contribution of 100.00 € and more.

Donations and membership fees are tax deductible.
