How is your eye structured?
When we see, the light, i.e. what we see, reaches the front of the cornea into the eye, passes through the lens and finally hits the retina. The retina converts the light into an electrical signal that is transmitted from the eye to the brain via the optic nerve.
The lens has the same function as the lens of a camera: It should produce a sharp image. In children and young adults, the eye lens is clear. A sharp image is created on the retina. With age, the eye also changes and various diseases can occur that affect vision to a greater or lesser extent.
