As a surgical technician or OTA, you are the right hand of doctors and surgeons - before, during and after operations: you prepare patients for various interventions, put all the necessary instruments and devices ready, check them for functionality and take care of them, that the hygiene regulations are observed. During the operations you hand the doctors the necessary instruments and pay attention to the patient's condition.
