The further training of young interns is very important to us. According to our motto "Everyone should like to come to our clinic and feel good", you too should feel well informed and looked after. In the article from "The Ophthalmologist" shown above, you will find the Homburg curriculum as a model for specialist training to become an ophthalmologist at the Saarland University Medical Center.

Your interview
- If your application documents have piqued our interest, we would be happy to invite you to a personal interview.
- You will sit in our clinic for a day and thus have the opportunity to get to know all of the clinic's processes. We would be happy to put together a personal information folder for you with all the important documents about our clinic for this day.
- The day begins at 7:30 a.m. with the daily morning meeting where you get to know the entire team. You will then be accompanied by our doctors in their daily work in various departments. During this time you will get to know the work processes in our university outpatient clinic, the vision school, on the ward and our corneal bank. There is also the possibility to sit in in the operating theater and the Institute for Experimental Ophthalmology under the direction of Prof. Dr. Achim Langenbucher on the 4th floor of our clinic.
- After an internal training event for assistant doctors, our senior doctor meeting including a round of introductions takes place in the late afternoon. In this context, all questions are clarified together with the assistant spokesman.
- You will receive the acceptance or rejection within 1 week.
