With a doctorate you acquire the highest academic degree in Germany, the doctor. A doctorate determines your aptitude for independent academic work. To do a doctorate, you deal independently with a research question from your specialist area. This takes place in the form of an extensive scientific work, the so-called dissertation. In contrast to the Bachelor and Master thesis, the dissertation must make an independent contribution to research.

Procedure

After submitting the questionnaire, your data will be stored in our applicant database. Your data will be made available to all potential supervisors, who will then decide in which area you can be offered a job. The possible supervisors will then contact you directly.

If you have already found a supervisor, we ask you to register anyway and to name the supervisor in the comment field.
